CHAPTER 01
Self-Hosted Systems
Tools and services I run on my own infrastructure - built for control, cost, and curiosity.
06 items
№ 01 / 06Self-Hosted Systems

Your own Netflix. Zero subscriptions.

Think of any movie, request it, and it just shows up on my TV within minutes - no subscriptions, no searching across platforms. Friends and family can do the same from anywhere and stream in the highest quality. Behind the scenes, Jellyfin runs on my Mac Mini with Radarr, Sonarr, and Seerr automating the entire pipeline, all tunneled securely via Cloudflare.

№ 02 / 06Self-Hosted Systems

If I can map the flow, I can automate it.

Bank emails land, get parsed by AI, and show up in my budget — without me touching anything. Docker containers ping me with an AI-written changelog summary before they update. Every Saturday, a narrative of my weekly spending hits my inbox. If any automation breaks, AI diagnoses it and alerts my phone within 5 minutes. Many more workflows, zero manual input, all running on a self-hosted n8n instance I control completely.
№ 03 / 06Self-Hosted Systems

A BI tool for my life.

Any question about my data - finances, health, habits - I can answer instantly with a query or a dashboard. It feels like having my own analytics stack for life. This runs on a self-hosted Metabase instance backed by Supabase Postgres.
№ 04 / 06Self-Hosted Systems

My second brain, fully searchable.

Anything I want to read or remember - articles, links, notes - lands in one place, auto-tagged by AI and searchable across every word. No algorithm deciding what surfaces. Powered by Karakeep with Meilisearch for full-text search and AI for automatic tagging.

A blog I actually own.

My writing lives on infrastructure I control - no platform paywalls, no algorithmic suppression, no data handed to a third party. Just words, fast, and mine. Built on Astro, containerized with Docker, and served from my Mac Mini via Cloudflare. Visit blog.saiprem.net to see it in action.

Mission control for everything I run.

One dashboard showing the live status of every service I run - whether it's up, what's consuming resources, and direct access to each tool. No more tabbing between admin UIs. Powered by Homarr with Docker socket integration for real-time container health.

CHAPTER 02
Money, Automated
Systems that track, analyze, and optimize my finances - without manual effort.
01 items
№ 01 / 01Money, Automated

I don't track expenses. They track themselves.

I never log expenses manually, yet my budget is always up to date. Every transaction just appears, categorized and ready - so I can answer things like 'Can I afford x product next month?' instantly.

CHAPTER 03
Parts of life, automated
Anything repetitive in my life, I try to automate it.
01 items
№ 01 / 01Parts of life, automated

My home runs itself.

My home just knows what to do - lights turn on in the evening, hot water is ready before I step in, and nothing runs when I'm not home. It's completely hands-off, powered by Home Assistant and automation workflows.

CHAPTER 04
AI in Daily Life
Using AI to make better decisions across health, habits, and everyday workflows.
02 items
№ 01 / 02AI in Daily Life

Health advice, based on my actual data.

I upload years of bloodwork, full-body scans, ECG, MRI, DEXA, diet logs, workout plans, and skincare products into Claude Projects - and get health answers based on my actual body, not generic advice.

HealthClaude ProjectsPersonalized AI
№ 02 / 02AI in Daily Life

AI that doesn't wait to be asked.

Instead of asking AI questions, it watches out for me - nudging me about weather, travel, launches, or things I might miss. It feels like having a quiet assistant in the background. Achieved through Poke AI
